My Story

Hi! I'm Rishi, a student at New York University studying business and economics. I'm passionate about finance, its role in society, and making it accessible to everyone. Outside of class, you'll find me playing soccer, rock climbing, or hanging out with my pet doodle.

I started FiscallyFit in my junior year of high school after realizing that school hadn't taught me any of the financial knowledge I'd need for life after graduation. Not even the basics! How do you make a budget, build savings, or start investing? How do you read a paycheck, build credit, and why does it matter? Most of us head into the next phase of our lives without answers to these questions.

So I started teaching myself, through summer programs, conversations with knowledgeable adults, and my own experience, and decided to share what I learned. Since then, FiscallyFit has grown into a financial literacy program that has reached over 200 students across 6 schools in underserved communities, in partnership with Dreamcatchers, a Bay Area nonprofit. Along the way, I also wrote and published Math Adventures: Fun with Addition and Subtraction, a children's math book I use in our sessions.

My own path in finance has continued too, through internships in financial analysis and investment research, and everything I learn makes its way back into these resources. I hope this site helps other teens, especially those without easy access to this kind of information, build real confidence with money.

Let's get fiscally fit together! I always value your feedback on how to make this site better.
